It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Heritage Flex Academy school website. We are grateful for your interest in our school and hope that the website provides you with a sense of the vibrant and rewarding educational experience that we offer to our students and families.

If you are new to the Escondido Charter Schools family, welcome! Our school, Heritage Flex Academy, opened for the first time last August, and we are part of the twenty-year old network of charter schools known as American Heritage educating Kindergarten through twelfth grade students in Escondido, California. All five of our school locations are served by the charitable work of the American Heritage Education Foundation.

The opportunity to lead a school in such a highly reputable charter school system is truly a blessing.  I plan to continue the traditions that have been established at Escondido Charter and to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents, community and business partners to continue the success they have worked so hard to achieve over the last 20 years.

Heritage Flex Academy is a close-knit educational community that promotes the academic and social development of all students in a safe, friendly environment. A caring ethos is at the heart of everything that we do within Heritage Flex. The small size of the school, small class sizes, and the strong family centered system give rise to a very obvious “family atmosphere” in which all students are valued as individuals. Parents and guardians are always welcome at our school; you are team members in providing our children with meaningful educational experiences.

Our dedicated staff at Heritage Flex serves approximately 225 students in grades K-8 for the 2017/2018 school year. In addition to the core curriculum, the school offers special education support services and speech and language support through the Escondido Union School District.

Together we form a strong partnership to ensure that all Heritage Flex students receive an exceptional education. I encourage you to participate in school activities and special occasions as well as volunteer in your child’s classroom as your schedule allows.  We look forward to continuing to work with you this school year and many school years to come. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (760) 466-1166 ext. 620 or email me at sknapp@echs.org.

Please feel free to contact us if you require any further information or if you are interested in sending your child to the school. My staff and I would be delighted to help you.

Respectfully,

Sandi Knapp, Principal
